Hi friends - hope all good :)
For our fortieth release in the quiet details series I have the honour of presenting an incredible interpretation from one of the most boundlessly innovative figures in the creative arts, Robin Rimbaud, here as Scanner.
Out next Wednesday 1st October, digital and CD editions. As always the physical edition comes with the unique long-form version of the album and bespoke six panel digi-pack, with separate artwork and glass-mastered CD.
Listening party Thursday 2nd October at 19:00 UK time.

From his early ground-breaking work in the sonic arts over thirty years ago, Robin has continuously pushed the boundaries of what’s possible - a vast solo and collaborative discography, live performances and projects all over the world and in some of the most iconic venues (SFMOMA USA, Hayward Gallery London, Pompidou Centre Paris, Tate Modern & Tate Britain London, Palais des Beaux-Arts Lille, Kunsthalle Vienna, Bolshoi Theatre Moscow, Hanoi Opera House Vietnam and the Royal Opera House London to name a few) - and today remains as creative, in-demand and open-minded as ever.
Never losing site of the experimental joy that he’s always harnessed, his album for quiet details is a stunning example of this love of sonic exploration.
Composed entirely from seismic recordings of the architectural marvel that is the steel staircase in his home, he’s created something that’s as musically beautiful as it is texturally rich.
Huge thanks to Robin, a wonderful part of the series - so looking forward to sharing it with you!

For now, please check out some of Robin’s earlier work - there’s so much to explore so use this as a starting point if you’re new to it - stylistically it’s extremely wide-ranging so digging is very rewarding.
