Hi friends - hope all good :)

Quick one today as bit exhausted after a long day in hospital yesterday - coming towards the end of maintenance immunotherapy after having lymphoma a couple of years ago.

NHS wonderful as always (worked out this was my nineteenth time in there) - huge love and respect for all the staff, consistently showing so much kindness and the highest levels of professionalism.

But they’re struggling. Two decades of chronic underfunding has left them in a difficult place, and we need to always keep in our minds how lucky we are to have them as a nationalised service - anything we can do to support them is essential.

So on this last day of half-price digital for qd48 field we found - thoughts persist - I’ll donate all profits from today to the Cancer Centre MKUH, and also match the total figure with the same again from previous income from the album.

Here’s a code for 10% off the CD as a show of my appreciation, valid until tomorrow - we raised a lot for the hospital together from my last album qd32 in your hands and Veryan’s kind donation from qd22 one universal breath (beautiful release, and highly recommend checking all her music), hopefully we can do the same here.

Enter on the code “thoughts10” checkout - if you buy one remember to message me for the CD-only unique mixed long-form version.

If shipping costs are an issue, you can combine orders on our Bandcamp page or quietdetails.com to keep them as low as possible.

Thanks again to all the fans, writers, press and everyone that’s supported the album and continues to support quiet details and our artists - means a lot x

Had a lovely review from Michael Foster over at Ambient Visions - a fantastic site that’s been going for 28 years - here’s a snippet:

“One of the more striking aspects of Thoughts Persist is how it balances its technical complexity with emotional accessibility. The process—magnetic tape shaping, analogue saturation, digital artefacts, layered effects chains—could easily dominate the narrative. But here, those elements serve the music rather than define it. They’re tools for shaping experience, not ends in themselves.

This is also an album that rewards deep listening. On a casual pass, it can feel understated, even elusive. But spend time with it—really sit inside it—and details begin to reveal themselves. A harmonic shift you didn’t notice before. A texture that suddenly comes into focus. A moment of unexpected warmth, an otherwise cool, abstract passage. It’s in those details that the album’s true character emerges.

In the end, Thoughts Persist stands as one of the strongest statements in the Fields We Found catalog to date. Not because it tries to be definitive, but because it doesn’t. It trusts the listener to engage, to interpret, to return.

And much like the thoughts it’s named after, it lingers—quietly, persistently—long after the final note has faded.”

Very kind - read the full thing here and highly recommend following what Michael does.

Much love and have a great weekend x
