Hi friends - hope all good :)
Very pleased to say that next up in the quiet details series, with a fantastic interpretation of the idea, is Jordan Czamanski, here as Jordan GCZ. So pleased to share this with you - an incredible example of where the quiet details idea can go in such talented hands.
Out now on digital and limited CD with long-form edition, six panel digipack and fine art print. Digital half price until 28th February.

Well-known in the house and techno worlds for his unique left-field take on the dancefloor, plus many collaborations as Juju and Jordash (with Gal Aner), Magic Mountain High (with Gal and David Moufang (Move D)), The High On Wye Quintet (with Gal, David, Michel Baumann and Steevio), The Mullhollen Free Clinic (with Gal, David and Johan Sharp) and more.
Plus releases on the likes of Dekmantel, Rush Hour, Further Records, Source Records, Minimal Detroit Audio, Rawax and more - the love and respect for Jordan is there for all to see.
A master of live performance and studio improvisation, Jordan’s skill and artistry on his collection of hardware machines has few parallels. This technical proficiency is only matched by his profound musicality, fusing influences from many corners, from free jazz to classic Chicago house and Detroit techno to kosmische and beyond.
Hope isn’t a Four Letter Word is Jordan taking all these influences and experiences creating something completely himself, taking the listener into orbit and back again in a haze of texture and streams of musical consciousness.
Starting with glassy DX7 nostalgia, his ability to compose deeply evocative melodic and harmonic structures is laid bare from the first note. Then comes the melodica and we’re in, Jordan showing his lyrical and beautifully mournful phrasing, creating something entirely hypnotising.
From there and throughout the album we’re treated to a masterclass in psychedelic electronic excursions, those digital textures and melodica mix with analogue synths and Fender Rhodes - all the time the humanity of his live playing coming through so powerfully - we could be there watching him perform this, the awe of his perfectly judged jazz-infused virtuosity.

Sequenced as a proper album should be, we travel through many places - a story told through melody, otherworldly ambiences, percussive drive and so much more.
Huge thanks to Jordan, a truly excellent addition to the series.
The artwork was made as always influenced by the music and idea behind the album - originating from a photo from Jordan which was then captured with analogue photography and processed here at quiet details studios.
As usual, the album is presented on the physical edition, a custom six-panel digipack with a separate fine art print too.
The CD also has a special long-form continuous mix of the album, representing the music in its purest form.

Neil at Moonbulding with wonderful words:
Musically, it’s another deep listening experience. I love how Alex’s drones slowly evolve, or resolve I guess. In the full version the low frequency hum of the drone is really hypnotic here and there’s some lovely additions as it builds towards the end. A melody almost appears and there’s what sounds like a gentle chime that weighs in towards the end, turning into a distant, very soft and gentle undulating siren/alarm-like sound. The ‘Statis Dub’ feels more buzzy, less controlled, there’s a kind of menace to it as the drone rises. While it isn’t what we’d understand as dub, you do understand what Alex means when it talks about the ideas and techniques resonating through his work. It will be interesting to be able to listen to these tracks back to back as the collection builds. You can already hear the progression from ‘01’ to ‘02’.

Big thanks to everyone that supported resolve / relate 02, and special shout-out to the new subscribers - so grateful to you!
Just finished the second track in the new fields we found series that will live alongside resolve / relate - will be a quarterly collection of tracks as a complementary juxtaposition to these long-form deep-listening pieces, looking forward to sharing them with you :)
Will be available to everyone and also included in the subscription at no extra cost - like I said before and Neil commented on:
Alex also picks up on the point I made earlier about artists seeing actual £££ for their work. His idea is that the dub version will be available to everyone initially, but will soon become a subscriber exclusive. “This is part of building a sustainable artist model,” he says, “while giving everyone the chance to access the music. Neither will be on streaming platforms to reinforce the importance of buying music if we want artists to keep doing what they do.” It’s got to happen. We have got to stop seeing music as being free and start paying these incredible artists for their work.
So, as well as being music I need to make, it’s part of making sure we create a sustainable future together - I deeply appreciate anyone that buys my music and commits to subscribing, essentially putting faith in the unknown to come, so I want to make sure you get the most for your generosity.
Much love and enjoy the music x
Alex
