Hi friends - hope all good and Happy New Year :)
To welcome in 2026, very happy to present a wonderful new interpretation of quiet details by one of the most inventive and gifted artists working today, Kayla Painter.
Out now on digital and limited CD with long-form edition, six panel digipack and fine art print. Digital half price until 23rd January.

Known as much for her stunning discography as her immersive live AV performances, Kayla has established herself as a mainstay at forward-thinking venues and festivals. She has seen huge support from leading DJs (Gilles Peterson, Steve Lamacq, Hannah Peel and many more), regular coverage in the music press (CRACK Magazine, Selector Radio, Worldwide FM, more), and all manner of other artistic bodies.
Also finding the time to lecture at the University of South Wales, host radio shows, run workshops, mentor other artists and countless other endeavours - Kayla is a creative force with an extraordinary energy and boundless innovation.
So it’s a pleasure to welcome her to the label with the incredible Tectonic Particles
Entering with her beautifully refined combination of field recordings and tender melodics, the first track sets in motion an album of hypnotic and captivating minimalism.
From here we move through intricately woven spaces, musical structures so deftly formed they leave us in awe of Kayla’s unique blend of innate musical understanding and vast technical skill.

Luminous textures fill the expansive worlds, complemented by deeply emotive harmonic progressions that grow and expand - engulfing the listener in cathartic grace and balance.
As Kayla says:
Tectonic Particles is about small processes that make gigantic differences in the Universe. The star burning out that explodes, creating stardust, creating us. The drip over a hundred thousand years that forms a stalactite.
The seed that travels on the wind, finds a home, grows and joins the mycelium network. The drop of water that seeps in the crack which splits the cliff.
It’s about coming from stardust, returning to dust, having a temporary stay on this rock.
Huge thanks to Kayla for this stunning addition to the series.
The artwork was made as always influenced by the music and idea behind the album - originating from a photo from Kayla which was then captured with analogue photography and processed here at quiet details studios.
As usual, the album is presented on the physical edition, a custom six-panel digipack with a separate fine art print too.
The CD also has a special long-form continuous mix of the album, created by the artist and representing the music in its purest form.
