qd00 fields we found - chroma - now out for everyone x

Hey friends - hope all good :)

Well what a year it’s been - seventeen incredible artists delivering stunning albums, each in their own inimitable style, and showing the endless ways quiet details can be interpreted.

More thanks and gratitude than I can ever express to all of them, the music makers are one of the most wonderful things in this world - pure human energy in the pursuit of art, creativity for creativity’s sake. Art of any kind is beautifully human endeavour, and I’m so honoured to share these beautiful sounds with you.

Also huge thanks also to all the writers, DJs, curators and everyone else that’s supported our music. They put so much work into what they do, often with very little compensation and just for the love of sharing music - please do check out the links and shout-outs I give in these newsletters, all well worth it and a source of constant discovery. Support them as much as you can.

Finally, eternal thanks and appreciation to all of you, the fans and true music supporters - without your commitment to what we do we’d be nowhere. Sustaining a label these days presents many challenges so it’s super important for you to know that it’s you that make so much of this possible - not only by buying our releases, but with your positivity and the community that pushes us all forward.

As a final thank you for the year, I’m making the first ever quiet details album, never officially released, available today - qd00 fields we found - chroma

I made this to share when I was introducing the label to people before our first release - a long-form piece that in many ways was a precursor to this year’s resolve / relate series on my fields we found Bandcamp page

Hope you enjoy - its name your price so give whatever you can.

It’s also going up to my fwf Bandcamp subscribers - big thanks to everyone that’s bought my music and especially subscribed. After the trials of lymphoma last year, this year’s music felt the most personal I’ve ever made, both the resolve / relate long-form deep-listening pieces and the rhythm structures series.

Personally, all the support from artists and fans got me through everything - music truly is the healer and bringer together of people.

So now, here are some other releases from qd artist I loved this year - they’re all so talented, please check these out and keep digging, so much to explore.

We need to support artists as much as we can, if they stopped doing what they do the world would be a much poorer place.

Enjoy!
